I love this event and it ran from 24th September thru to the 1st October which is the long weekend. The charity auction on the Wednesday night was fantastic and the prizes were amazing from quilts to individual items to paint tins full of jelly beans to a ride in a Racing Truck.
Now this was a week of horse riding, country music and of course raising monies for a worthy event – Cancer Research through the Cancer Council of NSW and…. it was a week of catching up with old friends, making new friends and generally having a great time.
I do have to say a big thank you to Vicky for winning the huge cup/mug in the auction and then giving it to me – I am indebted, thank you
It was as per previous years an outstanding success – this event is run by the Cumberland Trail Horse Riders Club and a week doesn’t seem that long, I reckon it could have gone for longer tho it is hard on the organisers and also a big credit to people like Reg, Cathy, Elizabeth, Ron plus more.
I mean Reg and Cathy seem to have their legs run off and they also ride as well as also looking after their horses during the week. Kim puts on a pamper session for the ladies including massage and fun day as well.
Heres a collection of pictures taken during the week by various people…
Icelandic Horse getting in on a selfie, this horse was so friendly just wanted to lean on your shoulder and follow you..
As I said I love this event, I get to play country music for a week, theres horse riding for a week and all monies raised go to the Cancer Council of NSW – sounds good to me, so come and join us in 2017.

Alas from my little friend and me, its time to finish and ride off into the sunset…
Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40
Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
