Mudgee and the Qld Variety Bash

Now normally about this time I would be writing about the Megalong Valley Blue Mountains Crackin’ Cancer Fundraiser we just did, but I’ll leave that until the 15th October as… well… lets just say Mudgee Showgrounds where we stay straight afterwards had a few interesting visitors

I spoke to Ken the Caretaker of the Mudgee Showgrounds who asked was I in my normal spot to which I answered yes – he told me there would be some others staying as well. no worries I said all good (I didn’t know that was about 150 others – like I said all good).

Next thing a coach with a ute in tow arrive, separate and tell us they have 150 people coming as part of the Qld Variety Bash and maybe we should move – I don’t think so I said… needless to say it was a great night with some very interesting cars as you can see… me I love the mini truck

On a sad note my team the Storm got beaten by the Sharks in the NRL Grand Final 14 to 12.   The Sharks had been waiting 50yrs to win a Grand Final.  I mean I know what it is like to wait, the Melbourne Storm joined the NRL in 1998 and won their first premiership in 1999 – like I said I know what it is like to wait.

Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40

Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
