Singing, Dining and Cruising The Hawkesbury River

Well I’ve had a great time so far and Christmas hasn’t arrived yet.   Lochinvar Music Club is a great place for Country Music, I’ve played and dined at the Wangi Wangi RSL Sub Branch Christmas lunch and cruised the Hawkesbury River for 6 1/2 hrs with the Toronto RSL Sub Branch – fantastic!

Just thought i’d quickly mention Lochinvar Music Club.   Anyones welcome and it’s in the hall on the Highway in Lochinvar on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

I was made to feel more than welcome – so put your name down walk up and have a sing OR just listen and enjoy.   I even ran into a mate David playing in the band.

The meal was excellent at the Wangi Wangi RSL Sub Branch Christmas Luncheon even tho it was in the second half of November.   The company was great and afterwards I played for the afternoon with everybody up and dancing.

Unfortunately the only photo I have was one I took when I was rehearsing which is the view I have 🙁 sorry about that.

I would like to thank the President of the Toronto RSL Sub Branch Ron Mitcherson and Committee for inviting myself and Debbie on their Christmas Function – a 4 Island 6.5 hr cruise.   Starting from Gosford and cruising Brisbane Waters, Pittwater, Broken Bay & Hawkesbury River.

Thanks to everyone for a great day plus some photos and yes you go past Home and Away’s Summer Bay.

Perfect weather and conditions…

Lunch was fantastic with chicken, prawns and more plus we had morning and afternoon tea.   There was even an old boat moored when coming back in which had US ARMY WT85 on the side, unreal.

Again I just want to say thanks for fantastic day even though I got sunburnt (forgot my hat) and I’ll let the cat show how he spent the day.

Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40

Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
