The Tigers Win The Storm Win & It’s Off To Bundaberg Qld

What a long weekend – out to Mudgee after helping raise money for cancer, won the Grand Final and to top it off… won the grand final – a hat trick…

After a couple of days at Mudgee it was time to head back and wash all the clothes and repack ready for the trip.   And so it began, after one day home and feeling – well not so refreshed… the trip to Bundaberg for the CMCA National Rally began!

I couldn’t believe it they named a place after my favourite drink;  ok moving on…   After spending a very noisy night near traffic at Macksville we had lunch by the water at Tweed Heads eating fish, chips and fresh prawns from a place called Scales – worth it!!

After leaving Tweed Heads we headed north and after getting lost with the phone saying ‘go this way’ and the Navman saying ‘Perform a U turn where possible’ and vice versa, we stopped for the night at Caboolture Showgrounds which is where both devices were arguing to get us 🙁

PS: When asked in Tweed Heads where we were heading, I said Caboolture in an hour or so – he laughed muttering 3 plus hours and something about Brisbane traffic, The Junction – and he was right. 😮

After having lunch in Gympie and people laughing & telling me I was a bit late for the Muster, we arrived at our next stop – Childers.

Childers is a really nice town AND by luck we ended up at the Showgrounds which turned out to be the Staging Area for the CMCA Rally in Bundaberg – it really is a nice clean show ground with hot clean showers, toilets & walking distance to town.

Theres powered and unpowered sites and its officially and RV Friendly Town.

It was a mammoth trip but we eventually got to Bundaberg and believe it or not it still took us nearly 2 hours to get into the showgrounds as there was over 900 Motorhomes etc but it was sunny – well at least at this point.

I’ll leave you with a few pictures and then more next fortnight or sooner if I can… e.g. The Bundy Belle Tour, The Rum Factory hmmm yummmm

Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40

Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
