The Trip Home, Filming With ABC Lateline And Playing At Club Catalina

Well the second half of the month did go better than the first half of the month… Ok except for the flooding again 🙁
Like I said the month wouldn’t have been complete without finishing the way it started, rain flooding the driveway, entrance and garage as you can see with nothing you can do… but I think now I’ve fixed it fingers crossed…
Ok and cue the dreamy music…  and back a couple of weeks to sunny (yes sunny) Kyneton in Victoria… Mum ended up after seeing the doctors going into hospital and staying there for several days resulting in her blood sugar levels going from over 20 to under 10 a big relief!   So after a few more days it was time to get on the bike and ride up to Lake Macquarie in NSW.   I didn’t get any rain until near Marulan and then it rained on and off for the rest of the trip 🙁  But earlier Holbrook was sunny so I stopped and had a V drink 🙂
Did I mention that mum is not happy about the District Nurses now going there twice a day to check on her – sorry mum.
It always seems to be a rush these days and sometimes my music seems to suffer cause of it…  Anyway off to an RSL District Council meeting which was being filmed by ABC’s Lateline about the alleged problems and impropriety by members at the top of RSL NSW.   Press here to view the article and video entitled “NSW RSL branch facing fresh claims of misconduct”.
And last but not least… on Saturday the 1st of April I played at the newly renamed Club Catalina in Stilling St Rathmines.   Club Catalina is the new name for the Rathmines Bowling Club which is what most people know it as.   Anyway I had a ball with people dancing young and old, encores (several of them) and even people listening to me after sneaking out of an 80th birthday – I don’t mind.  Instead of 3 hours I think I played for nearly 4 but I can’t help it when people are enjoying themselves.
Now its time to catch up on mixing some music of mine 🙂
Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40
Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
