Australia Day, a day where we reflect and think about what a lucky country we live in and hey I know I’ve grown up in a few.
Its a day where we can think about family, good friends and oh yeah get together and have a BBQ.
Now I don’t know about you but at my house Australia Day starts off with Ham or Bacon and Eggs and they’re double yoker’s as you can see.
Of course some may say that it should be Toast with Vegemite but I can’t help it, bacon and eggs comes first on toasted bread or rolls.
Of course not long after breakfast (and some liquid refreshments) everything is out for the BBQ and the cooking begins.
Once cooked and after everyone grabs some snags, burgers, bacon (yes bacon again) and onions, there’s only a little big left on the BBQ and… its can we fit seconds in or for some, thirds.
Now this might sound weird but for dessert (I know Bundy is a dessert) someone suggested that we have some lamingtons – yes lamingtons but not as you would think.
Believe me, for once they actually taste like what it says on the packet – true dinks.
As I said the lamington chips actually do taste like lamingtons its a miracle (now if only I could get Bundy or Jacks chips mmm) anyways… its time kick back and take the shoes or thongs off…
yep start relaxing after a fine feed and watch the girls go for a swim…
Hmmm might get in trouble for that one… so then maybe an afternoon nap yep sounds good and then well, lets just say the next picture says it best…
Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40

Well (thats another hole in the ground – sorry) Ok so I won’t keep you too long or ramble on as I sometimes do…
Physio is progressing well and the surgeon is happy tho I am still sleeping in a recliner because of the pain and only for an hour here and an hour there but… it will get better over time – I am alive, so anything else is a bonus! AND with 14 screws and 2 plates I can set the alarms off when I travel – bonus
Ok so we’re past New Year and any resolutions and…
I’m looking forward to starting and completing several Music Academy courses I’ve registered for – excited about that 😃
I’m also looking forward to using my Bose L1 Model 2 with B1 Bass and a Tonematch T4S Mixer that’s just arrived literally (still have to unpack it)
Currently I have 14 songs on the go at the moment in various stages and all progressing well. I am currently porting them from Logic Pro X over to Pro Tools and starting from scratch – steep learning curve but I wanted to.
Songs with titles such as ‘No She Didn’t Sign Up For This’ (a song about domestic violence that I wrote years ago), ‘Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This’ – yes thats a happy country music song (rare breed), ‘The Only Thing Missing Is You’, ‘Sometimes A Harley Seems To Be My Best Friend’, ‘No You Ain’t The One’ plus more…
Now speaking of summer, the suns shining so maybe I should just go out for a ride – hell yeah!!! (hopefully no deers around)
As my song ‘Ride Hard Ride Free’ from my 1st album says…
Head out on the highway, I’m going for a ride,
Got to do it my way, release my freedom from inside,
Happy New Year Australia and everywhere else when you’ll catch up. I trust everybody had both a great New Year and a safe start to the New Year?
Melbourne’s Fireworks in a word ‘spectacular’ & Wangi well cancelled due to the weather – sad for the people that sat there waiting.
Man I can’t believe its 2020 already, I remember – well not much at this time of the day actually but I digress… lets continue
I remember when we were on call at IBM and we were all dreading the clock ticking over to start the year 2000, yep the dreaded Millennium – It was a big panic for nothing and all over the way dates were stored, that was 20 years ago – I feel old!
Everbody has New Years Resolutions what were yours I mean “are yours”?? I was thinking if I didn’t make any, then I can’t break any and… if I achieve something I can say ‘yep that was a New Years Resolution, yep sure was’.
Actually in all honesty for 2020 I would like to recover from hitting at deer at 105kph on my Harley and to be able to sleep in a bed again instead of a recliner – there’s more but that would be a great start plus anything on top of that would be a bonus.
Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40
