Well it’s May already and well unlike last year we were able to have a COVID safe ANZAC Day.
But again like this time last year as we were looking forward to our Annual May Day cruise with about 12 others and all dressed the same – again our cruise was again cancelled due to COVID-19 🤬
As I said we were able to put on ANZAC Day in Wangi Wangi NSW. As President of the RSL sub-Branch we organised a dawn service commencing at 0530hrs, a march that kicked off at 1000hrs and then a main service at 1030hrs – enjoy some of the photos…
The pipes and drums led the march followed by the 3 Scout flag bearers, Veterans, other person, Scouts and Guides, 3 local primary schools and then Historic Military Vehicles led by a tank driven by Mr. Tracy Vadnjal
After the vehicles we had the St John Ambulance members and vehicle and then the local fire brigades and members marching. As a Veteran I was at the front so didn’t get to see the march as such.
What a tank… impressive thanks Tracy
I don’t know how they got on the roof… but they had a great view

I would like to thank Damon Cronshaw Journalist with the Newcastle Herald for attending and taking photos – great job. He he’s even on twitter as @JubilantJourno
Anyway there’s some sunny days coming up and I feel like light exercise might be the go, hell I might even do several hours of light exercise 😅 yes bike riding is listed as light exercise under COVID rules
Yes Ive changed since I was in the Army, but ask anyone, once a soldier always a soldier and remember…
We owe so much to those we cannot personally thank as they paid the ultimate sacrifice. They gave up their tomorrow for our today – Lest We Forget
