Well there’s not much to say this post because every gig or meet and greet or even meetings with potential clients has been cancelled because of COVID-19
Now my mates 60th is in a week and a whole bunch of us were to ride to a place called Grey Gum on the Putty Road in NSW. This was Bull’s 60th birthday and retirement but because of the Corona Virus and being socially isolated and not being able to mix it has been cancelled. Now Grey Gum as a business has already been through the wringer with the bushfires late last year so if you are passing once we can travel again go visit them and buy a coffee and a burger or something.
Now it is difficult for a lot of reasons and I am not alone on several…
No gigs unless its streamed from your home so definitely not getting paid.😢
Funerals/weddings – 10 people groan and I think weddings are 5 actually including party and celebrant.
Cannot visit mum – nursing homes on lockdown 😭
Saying sorry and because the granddaughter cannot have her 18th birthday – no one can attend🥺
Saying sorry to the other grandkids – no 12th or 19th plus more😢
Now below are the Queensland restrictions and they are not as strict as NSW and definitely no where near as strict as Victoria.
What do you do? younger kids or grandkids don’t understand, I mean you cannot even take them to a McDonalds, Hungry Jacks or KFC etc drive through and then sit in the car park and eat – you have to take it back home and eat it cold – yuk🥶
And its worse a lot worse, people being fined because well you can go for a walk but don’t stop and sit on a bench even by yourself- I mean cmon this is not a draconian state or is it???🤬
Yes I understand that this is a pandemic and this has had a devastating effect across the globe – but how can the Premier of Victoria say that he wouldn’t die for a game of golf so therefore you cannot play golf even with just two people yet you can walk down a shared walkway and have people walk past you in both directions and that is allowed and is safer than golf; like WTF🤐
Anyway I have rambled on for too long, hey if you see me out on the road say gday or hit me up on UHF Channel 40
Till next time, take care, yours in country music – Leigh
